Add a retreat in the dashboard
This covers all the steps to create a retreat, its experiences and date instances in the dashboard. All this needs to be done before adding the retreat page in SquareSpace.
Adding a retreat in the dashboard
Go to customers & retreats > view customer
Search the customer and click on the view icon
Use the add option top right to add a new retreat to this customer. If the customer does not exist then you will first need to add them.
The thumbnail preview image needs to a square image 500 x 500 pixels
Adding experiences to a retreat in the dashboard
Go to Dashboard > Customers & Retreats > view customer >
Once you have created a retreat, the next stage is to create a set of bookable experiences.
If the retreat takes place in multiple venues you can also create a sub-retreat for each location first so that each experience can be assigned to a specific location.
In the experience section use the ‘Tools’ section to ‘Add a new retreat’
Adding tags to the experiences
Applying tags to each experience allows the retreat to show in the various feeds on the website and app and become part of the search features in the app.
Go to Dashboard > Customers & Retreats > view customer > edit an experience > add/edit categories
Select the category and then tick any relevant tags. You can apply as many as you feel are relevant.
Adding experience instances
Go to Dashboard > Customers & Retreats > view customer >
Each instance allows you to use the experiences created above and set up a specific instance of that experience where you set the type (All Year, Date Range or Fixed Dates), set the dates, the price and an optional ‘specialist’ value.
To add a new instance select the ‘add’ button in the top right of the instances section
Once the retreat is fully added in the dashboard, you create the page in SquareSpace
